Help Lily visit her mom in out-of-state healthcare

Lily Bix-Daw, who lives in Massachusetts, is the loving daughter of Deirdre Daw, who has been in a memory health care facility in Kansas City, MO for over two years. Lily's mother has a debilitating and rare disease, which sadly there is no cure for, called corticobasal syndrome causing not only memory loss but also problems with movement and speech. Lily's mother's welfare and emotional well-being rely heavily on her daughter's visits.

There is a powerful and passionate bond between Lily and her mother, and it's clear that Lily's mother thrives on her daughter's visits. Although Lily tries to visit her mother as often as feasibly as possible, the high costs of airline travel pose a considerable obstacle for her. Lily, an extremely talented artist, works numerous odd jobs to cover her expenses on top of her demanding academic load. Unfortunately, Lily cannot come to live near her mother in Kansas City until she has some necessary surgeries completed for the medical costs to be covered.

Lily's mother's condition continues to deteriorate, and Lily is trying desperately to spend as much quality time with her as possible. This fundraiser is specifically intended to raise funds to ensure Lily can fly to Kansas City to visit her mother during the Christmas holiday and once a month for the upcoming year since it's unclear how much time remains for them to enjoy each other's company.
