My name is DeeDee, and I am reaching out with a humble heart for my husband, our seven children, and myself. Our family has been through more than we ever imagined. I experienced kidney failure and other serious medical complications that nearly cost me my life. There were moments when I did not know if I would survive, but by the grace of God, I am still here. Through it all, my husband never left my side. He stood by me during my illness and through some of the darkest moments of our lives. Then we were hit with another devastating setback when he lost his job. Our financial situation quickly became overwhelming, we lost our housing, and now our family of nine is living together in one hotel room while trying to stay safe and keep our children together.

Imagine two parents and seven children trying to sleep, eat, and live in one room while wondering how they will afford another night. That is our reality. We are doing everything we can to keep our family together and maintain a safe place for our children. Our greatest fear is not being able to afford the hotel and having nowhere else to go. My husband has recently found another job, and we are deeply grateful, but rebuilding while paying for a hotel and caring for seven children is more than we can manage alone right now. Donations will help us keep a roof over our heads while we search for stable housing, secure an apartment, cover rental deposits and initial housing expenses, pay for moving costs, and provide basic necessities for our children.

We are not asking for a handout to avoid responsibility. We are asking for a helping hand while we work toward stability. We have experienced illness, financial hardship, and the loss of our home, but we have not lost our faith or our determination to move forward.
