Help Dan and Patty Davis after devastating fire

As a lot of you know, and a lot of you don't, our parents', Dan and Patty Davis, house caught fire early Satuday morning (5/17). They lost everything except for the clothes on their backs and a few sentimental things that made it through the fire. As we've literally been sifting through the ashes all day, I've been met with an outpouring of kind words and a lot of people asking what they can do and how they can help.

My parents have always been ones to help others in need. My mom is quick to make donation baskets for benefits and my dad would, probably quite literally, give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. They're the ones in need this time. While they've never been the kind of folks to ask for help, they certainly need it now.

Unfortunately, they didn't have homeowners insurance. This is a devastating loss for them. Our entire family is so incredibly grateful for all the kind words, support, and donations we've already received. How quickly the community is coming together for them is a true testament of their character, as well as the character of our town.
