Dear family,
Connie needs our help, and John and I can't do this alone. For the past several years, Connie has been surviving domestic violence. She finally reached out to me this Thanksgiving for help. She is safe here with John and I; now ready for a fresh start.
She fled Arizona with nothing but what she could carry in a suitcase. John is helping connect her to some potential employers in this area. Additional job opportunities and recommendations in other locations are welcome. She is open and willing to do anything. She has strong skill sets from her 16 years at Allied Signal, high end salon hair stylist, real estate agent, cleaning jobs and live in care giver to seniors.
Immediate needs:
- Dental work: 9 teeth pulled and a full set of dentures
- Housing: security deposit and first/last month's rent for an apartment OR some place where she can be a live in caregiver and house cleaner.
- Car (Nothing fancy, just mechanically sound. Front, preferably all wheel drive vs rear wheel to navigate the WI winters.)
- Furnishings and Household Essentials (everything from kitchenware and linen to daily essentials)
- All the other start up items ...
- and LOTS of prayer.
