First, I implore you to please, never smoke around children. My parents did. Now I’m losing decades of my life. like they were months! I have a form of COPD brought on by breathing 2nd-hand smoke. It’s Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis, or scarring, in my lungs. It has exponentially worsened in the last couple months. I will never get better, it will only continue to get worse. There is no cure. 

My only hope to permanently get better is a double lung transplant! Mayo, in Rochester MN is the #1 top rated lung transplant facility in the nation. My 1st appointment is in 3 weeks. I am on 4liters of continuous O2, 24/7. Lung transplants are the most complex of all human organ transplants. (@Mayo, $180,000)

The most favorite part of my life is being Mom to Sam, Ruby, Noah & Nick. They are so beautiful, with so much to look forward to... and it is an absolute punch in their gut to think this may be our last Christmas together! They are understandably devastated! 

And of course, my love, my dear, incredible husband Dave. He’s so hard-working to save every dollar we can. He calms me with his strength, but even he has his limits where he kneels in front of me, head in my lap, sobbing to God, “Please don’t do this, I need her! I can’t do it all alone”.  He often tells me how I “saved his life”.  I found him at his lowest & loved him anyway. Now he feels helpless that he can’t save mine. So please, help us have some more time together - even a few more years would mean the world. This Irish lass will use every stubborn ounce I have to fight & I will never take a single moment for granted.
