Help Coco to get the funds for her IVDD

Hello everyone,

Coco is only 3 years old and had IVDD (slipped discs) last year she was 2 years old and luckily with lots of care and rest for 6-8weeks she recovered. Unfortunately, she has had a relapse and is not covered on the insurance as it is a “pre existing condition” Due to it costing £5,000 for the surgery plus any vet fees, MRI scans, specialist fees, after care, hydrotherapy around extra around 4/5k the only option we have have right now is to try rest again. (she is currently doing cage rest) The vet recommended that she gets the surgery to prevent it deteriorating further as she is currently stage 3 at the moment. Due to it happening before they have recommended surgery to prevent it getting worse. Because it has happened before the chances of her recovering without surgery maybe low. (Unfortunately we do not know how and what is going to happen and we don’t have the money to go ahead with the scans/surgery.

She is unable to walk and move her back legs, feet or tail, the back end is paralysed.

If she doesn’t get the specialist help she may never walk again.

Due to moving to New Zealand and spending a large amount of money to move our gorgeous fur babies over. I go above and beyond for my dogs and working as nurse I’m very compassionate and would do anything for anyone or any animal. Although she is getting lots of love, attention and care from myself not having this money to help her with further specialist intervention is devastating. I am trying to work whilst caring for Coco and not having any family or friends here is so difficult. I have set it as UK pounds due to having nearly all my fb friends in the UK.

Never in my life did I think I would need to ask for help. I feel so embarrassed setting this page up but I need to try to get as much help as I can for Coco and get her the best care and outcome that she can possibly have. She has a life ahead of her and been through so much. We hope that her resting really helps and hope it does not get worse, surgery would be the first option if the money was there. I appreciate any donations that will help Coco. All funds are to help Coco receive the best professional care outcome that will go on medication, scans, vet fees, surgery, after care and anything to benefit her throughout this process of the IVDD and after it.
