Dear kind friends, compassionate strangers, and anyone with a heart willing to help,

My name is Nick Bautarua and I’m writing this on behalf of my beautiful younger sister, Claudia Theresa Heatley a shy, gentle, and deeply humble 19 year old who has recently received heartbreaking news. Claudia has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma.

This diagnosis has shaken our family to the core.

Claudia is not someone who asks for much. She is soft-spoken, kind, and always respectful , the kind of person who listens more than she speaks, and gives more than she ever takes. She has always loved dancing, even if only quietly in her room where no one’s watching or with her dance group. Being albino, Claudia has already overcome many challenges in life, but she has done so with such grace, never complaining, never wanting to be a burden to anyone.

Now she faces the toughest fight of her life.

Claudia’s treatment for Ewing Sarcoma is complex, urgent, and absolutely essential for her survival. It consists of four major stages:

• Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy

•Local Therapy

•Adjuvant Chemotherapy

•Ongoing Monitoring &

Recovery Care

This treatment is not available in Fiji, and her best and only hope lies in being treated in India, where doctors and specialists have the expertise and facilities needed to treat this rare form of cancer.

The cost of Claudia’s treatment, travel, accommodation, and medical care in Overseas is estimated to be $80,000aud

This is a staggering amount for our family ,one we simply cannot afford alone.
