Help Cindy beat Endometrial Cancer
Donation protected
In less than a month, Cindy went from a mild tickle in her throat to the ER with (at the time) an unknown form of lung condition. She can barely walk, talks in a whisper and is in so much pain from the incessant, unproductive coughing that it makes me cringe every time. Her ribs feel broken and she barely sleeps between coughing fits. She is only 52 years old and has endometrial cancer that has spread to her lungs making it a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The speed at which this thing hit was 3 weeks.
It happened so fast I was taken completely by surprise as I was researching health insurance at the time and have therefore been caught without.
Previous insurance (at least that’s what they called it), turned out to be nothing but a discount card. I got a little ticked about that and cancelled this policy only 3 months ago. Bad timing to say the least. I am self-employed so shopping for a policy for a right-brain creative type like me is really tough.
SO... here we are, facing huge bills after a crazy number of tests and chemo scheduled to start in a couple days at $17,000 per treatment (6 are scheduled) - which is just insane - but a reality that we really need your help with. Cindy is such a sweet lady, we have two grown kids, she has been a huge part of girl scouts for 30 years and is involved with rescuing animals in need (especially cats). She has much work yet to do and needs your help getting past this (substantial) bump in the road.
I’ve never been good at asking for help and I still struggle with this go-fund-me idea but this beast to too big for me to tackle alone. Please do what you can and pass this along to anyone you think might like to help. Thank you and God Bless.
