A Devastating Crisis — While Fighting for Her Life

Our beloved friend, sister, and community member, screenwriter, and advisor, Christina Tsialtas, is facing the fight of her life — and now she may lose her home at the same time.

Christina is currently hospitalized with a tumour, undergoing urgent medical care in Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto. While she battles for her recovery in the hospital, she’s also in the midst of a housing crisis: her home of over 50 years at 780 Pape Avenue is being repossessed as she was unable to keep up her mortgage obligations. She is at risk of having no home to return to once she leaves the hospital.

This is an unimaginable situation: to be gravely ill and simultaneously face the loss of your only shelter. Christina’s strength and resilience are incredible, but she cannot face this alone.

What She Needs Right Now

Cover basic living expenses while she recovers

Access post-hospital care and rehabilitation support

Cover legal or moving costs related to the forced repossession
