My name is Christina and I'm raising funds for my dream. The dream of owning my own boutique hotel.

My brother died last July under tragic circumstances, and I want to make sure I stay on track for my dream so I can, hopefully in the next 5 - 7 years, own a hotel that is a sanctuary and healing place for people who have lost someone dear in their life to suicide, or any other untimely, tragic passing. I would also like to tie a charity to the hotel so that a portion of the profits can directly benefit suicide awareness and mental health.

I have had a dream of hotel ownership since I was a child, and it is really the only dream I have ever had for myself. I didn't choose the dream, it chose me.

A few days after losing my brother, I traveled to the Texas coast, and it was there that I had my first of many spiritual awakenings. About halfway through the trip, I woke up one morning to hear the echoes of the song "Magic", by Olivia Newton-John. It had been decades since I last heard this tune, and I hummed it during my morning walk on the beach. When I returned to the hotel, I looked up the lyrics and began to cry as I read them aloud to myself. I think of this moment often and I use it as fuel to keep me moving forward.

We have to believe we are magic.

The funds raised will be used to purchase a boutique hotel with no more than 20 rooms. The ultimate goal is to be able to purchase w/o the need for a large mortgage, and w/o needing to sell my house for a down payment. I am currently a commercial property manager, and I understand the commitment involved.

My ultimate dream is to have a hotel and a legacy that I can proudly hand down, for the benefit of generations to come, not only for my own family but for countless families affected by any kind of untimely, tragic loss.
