Help Cheryl Ridout Fight Cancer

Our family is asking that you keep Cheryl and her loving family in your prayers, while she faces her biggest fight to date.

Cheryl was born and raised in Glace Bay of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia where she developed her fondest memories whilst growing up in a household with 9 rambunctious siblings. Cheryl would go on to meet her loving husband Stanley and build their family of 3 beautiful children; Tiffany, Ryan, and Kyle. Cheryl and her loving family eventually made their way to Red deer, Alberta where Cheryl and Stanley would go on to raise their beautiful children and enjoy all of life's blessings and milestones.

In March of 2021, Cheryl discovered the devastating news that she had Colon cancer. Cheryl began her battle with her first surgery in April of 2021 with many rounds of chemotherapy. Cheryl had a second surgery in June of 2022 with continued chemotherapy. In September, she received the results from biopsies taken in the second surgery, which confirmed cancer had spread to 4 lymph nodes, this continued Cheryl's chemotherapy journey resulting in positive results of becoming cancer-free around mid-December. Unfortunately, this January a CT scan and medical physicians confirmed Cheryl's cancer has spread outside of the colon into different parts of her abdomen, which now places her in terminal stage 4 colon cancer.

Many have been asking how & where they can help. We are hoping to raise enough funding for Cheryl and her family, to cover everyday expenses and out-of-pocket medical expenses throughout this challenging time of fighting cancer. Even with insurance, cancer treatments can become overwhelmingly expensive, especially with lost wages. We would also love for Cheryl to enjoy life with her family and loved ones, she adores concerts and she has always dreamed of going to Nashville, we hope to get her there.

Cheryl is a living testament to resilience and strength who has an amazing support system by her side. We hope with your help, we can lift her spirits and help her win this fight.
