As many already know, my sister, Chauntyll Allen, was recently detained without an arrest warrant by the Department of Homeland Security and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for speaking out against the terror being inflicted by ICE and federal agents on our families and children across the Twin Cities.

Since her arrest, we’ve seen the Trump administration and MAGA zealots attempt to humiliate and criminalize Chauntyll on social media, posting staged trophy photos and videos of her arrest, stoking dangerous threats and harassment from ICE supporters. While there’s been an outpouring of support for her legal defense, as an elected official and movement leader, Chauntyll is also faced with the significant cost of hiring security to ensure her family’s safety in public.

She and her wife Satara are also anticipating thousands of dollars to address their mental and physical healing, in addition to many unforeseen necessities as they recover from this ongoing trauma. Chauntyll and Satara have dedicated their entire lives to showing up for and supporting our community, our people, our children, and a better tomorrow, fearlessly, financially, and with so much love. Now it's our turn to show up for them!
