Help Charles & Lori Rebuild After Devastating Florida Flood!
On October 26, 2025, a "1000-year rain event" brought catastrophic flooding to Eustis, Florida, and forever changed the lives of Charles “Charlie” and Lori Kalapp. Their beloved newer home (purchased in October 2021) was overcome by floodwaters, leaving destruction that has made the house unlivable. Anyone who knows Charlie and Lori knows they are the kind of people who would give you the shirt off their back. Now, they need help.
The damage to their home is extensive, with the foundation, walls, and floors severely compromised, totaling approximately $40,000 in repairs alone. The problem is made even more devastating by two critical factors:
• No Flood Insurance: The couple, like many in their area, did not have flood insurance, meaning they will have to cover all repair and replacement costs out-of-pocket.
• Job Loss: Lori lost her government job due to budget cuts earlier this year and has been out of work for nearly 7 months. The couple was already under significant financial strain before the flood hit.
