Hi everyone, my name is Jessica, and I’d like to share the story of my amazing nephew and godson, Cesar.
Cesar is a bright, loving, and kind 12-year-old — soon to be the 13! He has one of the sweetest hearts you’ll ever meet. He’s always thinking about others, always caring, and always smiling. He loves being outdoors — playing soccer, riding his bike, running around, and just being a kid.
A few years ago, we noticed Cesar would sometimes have what we thought were “blank stares.” At first, we assumed he was daydreaming or tuning out noise, but after medical testing, we learned that he was actually having absence seizures, a form of epilepsy.
Cesar experienced his first full seizure a few years ago something our family had never witnessed before. It was scary, heartbreaking, and life-changing. After that his been getting them more often that the last one was a diffrent type of seizure we experienced. Since then, we’ve been doing everything possible to support him, keep him safe, and help him live a happy, full life.
That’s why we’re raising funds for a service dog trained to help children with epilepsy.
This special dog will be able to:
- Alert us when Cesar is about to have a seizure
- Keep him safe during and after a seizure
- Provide emotional comfort and companionship
- Help give Cesar more independence and confidence
A service dog can make an incredible difference in Cesar’s daily life — offering safety, support, and peace of mind for our entire family. But the cost of training and placement for a certified seizure-alert dog can be very expensive, often reaching $15,000–$25,000.
We’re asking for your help — whether it’s through a donation, a share, or a few kind words of encouragement. Every bit of support helps bring Cesar one step closer to having his very own service dog and a safer, brighter future.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, and helping Cesar on this journey.
With love,
Jessica & Family
