The medical examiner's office, under the deliberate misrepresentation that she was his next of kin, allowed his ex-wife to order Carl moved to a funeral home and had him cremated before I was able to say goodbye.

That is the most horrible, traumatic thing I could've imagined happening. I have to live with that travesty for however long I remain without him.

Suddenly, managing heart failure and learning how to be stripped of my other half seems to take second place to the knowledge that all I can do now to protect him is buy his remains.

The funeral home, though it is illegal, is holding Carl's ashes for payment of bill.

Please, please help me aquire my soulmate's ashes before he is further tampered with.
