My sister Cara Luciani and my brother-in-law Chris have just lost everything in a devastating house fire. The fire happened during the day and by the time they got to the house it was a complete loss. Thankfully, no one was home, but their cat Muffin was in the house. We are hoping maybe he got out somehow, so his picture is below if anyone finds him.

Cara and Chris have lived and worked in the Cheshire community their entire lives. Cara has worked for the Cheshire library for over 30 years. She started as a volunteer when she was 16 and is 60+ now. They have two sons, Collin and Connor, who live out of state. They have lost absolutely everything except the clothes on their back due to fire, smoke, and water damage. I am asking for any help to get them through this immediate period where they are trying to figure out the next step. The process is difficult and quite heartbreaking.

My name is Mary Kate Bykowski and my family all grew up in Cheshire. My sister Cara, my brother Andy, and I all attended Cheshire High School, as did Chris. My folks, who still live in town, had their dried flower business in Cheshire for over 40 years, and my dad just celebrated his 90th birthday. We love Cheshire and hope this community will help out a member in need. Thank you very much.
