Help Bruce & Pat Harting Rebuild—Again

Donation protected
On the afternoon of June 19th, Bruce and Pat Harting lost everything when a fire that began in their attic escalated into a full blaze. By the grace of God, Bruce, Pat and their pup Sophie, made it out safely—but with only the clothes on their backs. Their home, their belongings and their memories from living in the same house since 1971 are all gone. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that they had just moved back home after 4 feet of flooding from Hurricane Milton forced them into temporary housing. After nine months of rebuilding and replacing everything damaged in the storm, it was all lost - again.

If you know Bruce and Pat, you know they would NEVER ask for help. They might even be upset we have set up a page for support, even though they would be the first ones to help others in need.

LTC (Ret) Bruce Harting served in the 1st Cavalry Division of the Army and did two tours in Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart on the morning of April 5th, 1966 when he led troops into battle and ran into an ambush. After being airlifted out of Vietnam, he recovered in the States and later went on to teach at Officer Training School—continuing his lifelong commitment to service and community.

While recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Bruce met Pat, who was working there and caring for patients with the same compassion and strength she shows every day. They have been together ever since and will soon celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary.

For the last decade, Bruce has brought joy to tens of thousands of visitors at 3 Daughters Brewing with his beloved Christmas Village. What started as a small family tradition has grown into a holiday experience that lights up the Tampa Bay community. Bruce spends his summers carefully repairing each piece, getting ready to bring the magic back to life in November. He even helps fund it by refereeing local soccer games.

Bruce and Pat have given so much—to this country, to this community, and to all of us who know and love them. So many people have asked how they can help, and we appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and offers of support.

Thank you for standing beside Bruce and Pat in this difficult time. We appreciate it more than you know!
