❤️ Help Bring Nathan Home
Nathan is a loving husband, a Falklands War veteran, an engineer, and a man who now faces the biggest fight of his life.
On 5 April, Nathan suffered a heart attack and cardiac arrest, leaving him with a serious brain injury. Since then, he has been in hospital, working hard to recover and facing challenges that have changed his life in ways neither of us could ever have imagined.
Nathan has always been a man who loves helping others. Throughout his life, he has been the sort of person who would help someone simply for a thank you, never expecting anything in return. He enjoyed his work as an engineer and took pride in using his knowledge and practical skills to solve problems and make things work.
When Nathan isn't working on something, he has his own special passions. He loves being a car mechanic and enjoys his model trains. He also has a much-loved little Chihuahua who is an important part of his life. One of my greatest wishes is for Nathan to come home and have his little companion by his side again, surrounded by the familiar things and people he loves.
Despite everything he has been through, Nathan is still fighting to regain his independence. I want more than anything to bring my husband home, where he belongs, and give him the opportunity to continue his recovery in a place filled with love, comfort and familiarity.
Unfortunately, our home needs several major adaptations before Nathan can safely return. These changes are essential to meet his needs and give him the best possible chance of living at home again. The cost of the work and materials is estimated at around £20,000, which is more than I can manage alone.
That is why I am asking for your help.
Every donation, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to making our home suitable for Nathan. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story with friends, family and your community would mean just as much.
Nathan has spent his life helping others without asking for anything in return. Now, I am hoping that a little of that kindness might come back to him when he needs it most.
Please help me bring my husband home. ❤️
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story, for your kindness, and for any support you can give Nathan and me. Every little bit brings us closer to being together at home again.
