Hello, my name is Hanna Mills.
I’m a mom, a student, and the wife of Moise Mills.
My husband, a Jamaican immigrant, was detained by ICE on 11/20/25.
A little backstory:
Moise and I met on a Christian dating app. On our very first date, we spent eight hours at our local farmers market just exploring downtown and enjoying each other’s presence. From day one, we both knew—God willing—that we would one day be husband and wife.
Fast-Forward: We have now been married for 6 months, Moise has been a wonderful husband and a steady, loving presence in the life of our three-year-old son, Ambrose. I was a single parent for two years before I met him, and he chose to step up and be the father our son needed. He worked hard to support us and was also working to pay off his student loans in Jamaica so he could finally begin the immigration process here. He had just finished paying them off and received documentation — and then everything changed.
We were in the middle of filing his immigration paperwork when he was unexpectedly taken into custody. He is now being held in an ICE facility. We do have legal representation, but as you can imagine, the cost is overwhelming. We are in the process of requesting a bond so that he can come home to us while his case continues. Our attorney told us bond may be anywhere from $5,000–$13,000, and continued representation will cost several thousand more.
I am now the sole provider for our family.
I work in the food industry, in college full-time, and I’m caring for our son. Even with all of that, these sudden legal expenses are far more than I can carry alone.
I am raising funds for:
• His immigration bond
• Attorney fees
• Filing and travel costs
• Stability for our household while he is unable to work legally
Anything helps — even sharing this page.
All we want is the chance to keep our family together and give Moise the fair legal process he deserves.
