Hi, I’m Brie. I’ve been transitioning for the last two-plus years, and I am working toward getting the gender-affirming surgery I need.
Unfortunately, as a single parent, money is tight and the cost of getting that care is extremely challenging, so I’m hoping that if you’re reading this, you’re willing and able to help.
Specifically, I need to try and get support for the following:
- Hair removal (about $4,000)
- Lost income support, as my work short-term disability will pay only 50 percent as I recover ($3,500)
- Deductible and copay costs ($2,500)
