Help Brenda's Family Overcome Financial Hurdle

Hi, my name is Brenda. I am fundraising for my family. My husband receives Social Security Disability, and also receives dependent payments for our daughter. Social Security sent us a letter stating that he worked too much (he works p/t, at minimum wage) and that they are stopping both checks. By the time we received the letters, they had already stopped the checks. Social Security wants us to pay them back over $40,000. We are working on resolving this ridiculous determination.

I am extremely resourceful, and I have tapped every means of help and support, such as, but not limited to, other government agencies, charities, churches, and friends. I have taken out 2 credit cards and a line of credit, which are now all maxed out. We are now in month 4 without half our income. We are living on $1500/mo. We do not know how long this will continue. We know that if we win, it will take up to 3 months for Social Security to reimburse us.
