Brendan was injured in a fireworks accident on July 4th. He was struck directly in the face, sustaining serious bone and soft tissue injuries. He was rushed to the ER, where they completed several CT scans. Brendan's nose is shattered and his cheek bone and bones around the eye socket sustained breaks and fractures. Most of his face was burned to different degrees, and he also has lacerations under his right eye and along the side of his nose requiring over 50 stitches.
He is undergoing at least one facial reconstruction surgery, possibly more, depending on the results of the first surgery.
With all of this going on, he will be off of work for the foreseeable future as well as building up massive hospital bills. We are hoping to be able to relieve some of this financial burden for him so that he can focus solely on physical and mental recovery from the trauma.
