Brad has spent his life running toward the fire—literally and figuratively. As a retired paramedic and firefighter, he dedicated decades to saving lives and comforting those in their most vulnerable moments. For the past ten years, he continued that mission at one of the nation’s top cancer hospitals, walking alongside patients in their battles with cancer, offering not just medical care, but hope, empathy, and strength.

In the early years of Brad and Kelly's marriage, they cared for his mother as she bravely fought Renal Cell Carcinoma. That experience shaped them, deepened their love, and prepared them for a journey they never imagined they would face again—this time with Brad as the patient.

Brad was working on their family dream home in the mountains when he began to feel unwell. Trusting his instincts and medical knowledge, he knew something wasn’t right. Brad's eldest son drove him back to Florida, to the very Emergency Room where Brad now works in Radiology. It took persistence, advocacy, and all of Brad’s experience to convince the doctors to dig deeper. It was Brad who pushed for the MRI that ultimately revealed the tumor. Without his voice, his knowledge, and his fight, it might have gone undetected until it was too late.

Now, Brad faces his own battle with the same courage and clarity he’s shown throughout his life. He is more than his diagnosis. He is a husband, a father, a healer, a protector. He is the calm in chaos, the steady hand in crisis, the voice of compassion when it’s needed most.
