Help Ben Get His Camera Gear Back

Hi there. My name's Adam, friend of Ben Petchel. If you're familiar with Have Fun Do Good ...scroll down to the next paragraph. If you're not familiar, Have Fun Do Good is a social good travel company. We provide group travel experiences that incorporate a volunteer component.

Ben plays a cruical role with Have Fun Do Good by bringing our trips to life through his amazing photography.


On our most recent Have Fun Do Good trip to Costa Rica, our place was broken into (there was a broken lock on the side of the property that the owners failed to make us aware of). 

The low-life who broke in stole Ben's camera bag, which included his passport and all of his gear. This was Ben's livelihood. 

In true Ben fashion, he took it in stride. I truly don't know anyone who could've maintained such positivity through such unfortunate circumstances. 

Ben is completely unaware of this GoFundMe and I'd like to keep it that way. He's a humble guy and doesn't want to be looked at as a charity case. 

For those of you who know Ben, you know how selfless of a person he is. He's always willing to lend a helping hand and has an uncanny ability to make folks laugh when they need it the most.

Professionally, Ben has given so much of his time and talent without asking for anything in return.



I'd like to pay it forward and help Ben recoup some of his lost expenses and wages. All told, he lost about $6000 in gear.
