Help Me Stop Grindr from Silencing Queer Abuse Survivors

Hi, I’m Bee Davis — a Black trans woman, technologist, and advocate. I’m also someone who was harassed and harmed through the Grindr app. And now, I’m in the fight of my life to make sure they don’t get away with it.

After I reported serious, repeated harassment on Grindr, the company did nothing. No meaningful action. No protection. No accountability.

So I did the only thing I could: I filed a lawsuit.

Now, instead of facing the harm they enabled, Grindr is trying to force me into private arbitration — a legal loophole that takes this fight out of court, hides it from the public, and protects their profits, not their users.

⚖️ Why This Fight Matters

Grindr has a pattern:
They’ve never lost a motion to compel arbitration.
Every case like mine has been kicked out of court.
No public accountability. No jury. No justice.

If they win this motion, my case will disappear—just like all the others.
But if I win? I could be the first person to bring them to trial.
The first to open the door for others.
The first to say: You don’t get to harm us, then hide.

The Abuse I Experienced

This isn’t hypothetical. I was targeted, harassed, and stalked through the Grindr platform.
I reported it multiple times.
I was met with silence.
Their failure to act made me feel unsafe, unprotected, and invisible.
They ignored me.
Now they want to erase my voice legally before a court can even hear it.

Why I Need Your Help

I’m representing myself in this case — but I still face real expenses:
• Legal consultation and strategy from an advising attorney
• Court fees, filings, and motions
• Printing, mailing, and research costs
• Public advocacy and outreach

What Your Donation Supports
• A survivor standing up to one of the biggest queer platforms in the world
• The fight for public, community-led justice
• A precedent that could protect thousands of LGBTQ+ users in the future

If we win this motion, we can bring Grindr into the light.
If we lose, they’ll keep hiding behind legal fine print—and the harm will continue unchecked.
