Help Save Bayou’s Life — Urgent Heart Surgery Needed

Our family recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of our beloved pet — a loss that left a deep void in our home and in our hearts. In the wake of that grief, we opened our hearts again and welcomed a new puppy named Bayou. From the moment we met him, we knew he was something special. Bayou brought light, laughter, and love back into our lives when we needed it most.

But our joy quickly turned to fear.

At just a few weeks old, Bayou was diagnosed with a grade 6 heart murmur — the most severe level possible. After consulting with veterinary specialists, we learned that he has a serious congenital heart defect. His condition is rapidly declining, and without immediate, life-saving surgery, he may not survive much longer.

The recommended surgery must be performed by a veterinary cardiologist, and the cost is overwhelming — between $7,000 and $11,000. This includes imaging, surgical intervention, post-op care, and medications. As a family still mourning the loss of our last pet, this news has been a crushing emotional and financial blow.

We’re doing everything we can to give Bayou the chance he deserves — to grow up, to run and play, to live the long, happy life that every puppy should have.

But we can’t do it alone.
