Help AVSED regrow their sensory garden
Here at AVSED, we are raising money to help replant our sensory garden based in Nunroyd Park come springtime.
Our garden was kindly funded by the local Councillors and planted during the COVID pandemic giving a lovely outside space for our members, volunteers and park users alike to take a pause, enjoy the view, watch the wildlife and explore the scents and textures planted around.
Unfortunately, this has been taken away from us as someone has stolen the plants, some of which were donated by the community, and which have been tended and cared for by a wonderful team of volunteers.
We need to raise funds to replace the plants on a like-for-like basis, reintroducing the sensory elements of the garden to meet all our member's needs. We will also be looking into security measures to prevent this from happening again.
Anything you can donate will help and will help us bring back a wonderful space for our members, many of whom don’t have a garden of their own anymore.
Come spring, we would love to host a planting day where as a community we can come together and make this garden great again!
Thank you in advance for your contribution.
