Help Ashley and Mike in Their Time of Need

The last few weeks have been quite a doozy for our family. My brother-in-law Mike was having testing done to verify whether or not he had prostate cancer. Upon his scan, he was notified that not only did he have prostate cancer, but he also had a very aggressive form of colon cancer. Mike is the only breadwinner for their family. He’s an amazing family man and serves his family well. While he has a job and does have insurance (thank God), the expenses that come along with a sudden cancer diagnosis have been quite overwhelming.

After the shock wore off of the diagnosis, we had to get into motion with a plan. God has been so faithful; we have received enough money to put Ensley, their six-year-old, into school for the remainder of the school year. This will give both Ashley and Mike some time to go to appointments and give Mike an opportunity to rest during the day for a few hours. Previously, Ashley was homeschooling him. Mike will have his port installed this Wednesday, and chemo will start the following week.

If you know me AT ALL, I do not ask for money or any handouts.
