Help arrested animal rescuer Claudia with her legal bills

My friend Claudia was arrested last week for a number of offences in connection with the rescue of multiple severely neglected dogs. She can't say anything about the situation at the moment for legal reasons.

Claudia would like to make clear that she doesn't work for or volunteer with any animal rescue organisation.

Claudia's legal bill so far comes to £600 plus VAT. She was made redundant last September and currently has no income and she's taken out loans to fund a new business. So to say she's stressed is an understatement.

The £720 has been for the initial advice. Her solicitor charges £300 plus VAT per hour. It's not yet clear what the total legal bill will be but I've set it at £720 for now.

I know money is tight for lots of people right now, but if we're able to chip in and raise something towards the bill I know Claudia will be so grateful and a little less stressed.

Claudia is a kind hearted person who tries to help people. She raised around £120,000 for animal rescues last year, organised volunteers to help vulnerable people during the pandemic and she won a community award for helping a homeless man get back on his feet.
