Help Aniyah's Educational Journey to Europe!

Hello! My name is Aniyah! I just finished my sophomore year at Rich Township High School FAC. I like to serve my community by volunteering! At the moment, I am volunteering at Richton Park Public Library. I help with various activities they host for the community such as Fun club and Fun Fridays. I hope to work there, eventually because I love books. I also help clean and organize the shelves as needed. My academic achievements include having straight A’s with a 4.4 GPA. Most of my classes are AP (Advanced Placement) and honors classes where I receive college credits. I have been on the high honor roll every year! I am also ranking #1 of 561 in my class! My junior year, I’ll be taking an early college initiative program at Prairie State College. I am so excited for this! This program provides me with the opportunity to take 4 quarter long college level classes for college credit. And I intend to complete this my senior year as well. As of this year, I was inducted into the National Honors Society and the Gloria J. Taylor Foundation (GJTF) and their Trio Upward Bound program. Trio is a program for high school students who have the desire to seek and pursue a college education, granting many opportunities from college trips and hands on experience of what the college life is like. I intend to take full advantage of this opportunity as I have already completed several college tours! This summer I will be working my first job ever, under the employment of Friends of the Forest Preserves! Which brings me to why I have gathered you all here, my trip! I am trying to raise enough funds to attend my AP class trip to Europe the summer of my junior year (May 2025.) The 9 day trip gives me the opportunity to visit London, Caen, St. Malo, Loire Valley, and Paris. I want to attend this trip to be able to travel and witness different cultures and experiences. And because I deserve it! The trip will cost $4,535. This includes hotels, transportation, and meals. I plan to save my money from working this summer, but that’s not enough! My school will have various fundraisers for us as well. I appreciate everyone’s help with getting me to Europe!
