Help Angela Gray Through Surgery Recovery

Dear Community,

Angela Gray, owner of Apothecary Skin Therapy, esthetician, death doula, wife, and mother, needs our help.

This year she's adopted the role of caretaker for her 85-year-old Dad after the loss of his wife and recent heart attack. Angela, with her husband and 13-year-old son, are stepping up to support him at this time, with the care he needs continuing to increase.

This situation makes the next step in her own medical journey more challenging. After many years of ultrasounds, biopsies, surgeries, ablations, etc., the time has come for her to have a total hysterectomy scheduled for September 11th, 2024. There is also a possibility that a hernia repair will be included.

With this surgery (or surgeries), she will be out of the office recovering for 8 weeks. This is a huge financial strain on herself and her family as she will still need to cover the cost of her studio rent, as well as home expenses, without any income coming in.

Though her husband, Robert, works two jobs, Angela's income makes a significant portion of what keeps them, their son, two dogs, and now her Dad afloat.

Angela has the sweetest heart of anyone I've ever met and she's proven to me in the years I've known her that she'd do anything for me or anyone else in a time of need.

This is our time to show up for her.

I'm asking you and our community to help to bridge this gap.

It's stress enough going through a surgery like this and being out of work. It's even more stress when you work for yourself. It's even more when you have a family. And last, when one of those family members is an aging parent you now care for.
