Blind but Not Broken: Help Andrey

I’m Jama, and I’m setting this up for my friend Andrey.

Andrey is a close friend and an incredibly talented 3D artist.

While serving in the Ukrainian military, Andrey was badly injured and lost his sight. It’s hard to even write that. For an artist, losing vision is especially devastating.

His right eye was completely removed and replaced with a prosthetic.

In his left eye, the optic nerve is still intact — but the retina was badly damaged, making vision recovery unlikely for now. Still, with new medical advances on the horizon, there’s always a bit of hope. For now, we’re focused on helping him adapt, heal, and find new ways to create.

We’ve worked on some amazing projects together over the years. He’s kind, creative, brave, and resilient — but now, he’s facing an entirely new reality.

He can’t work the way he used to, and life has been incredibly tough. This fundraiser is to help him cover basic living costs, therapy, mobility support, and hopefully, tools that can help him express himself through art again.

Since GoFundMe doesn’t support withdrawals in Ukraine, I’ll be running this campaign on his behalf and personally transferring every donation directly to him.
