Help and Relief for Venezuela

Dear friends and family,
I think you all know how passionate I am when I talk about my country, and what we have been through for the last decades. I do believe most of you already know about the horror and suffering we are going through, once again.
For the past few weeks, Venezuelans have been in a situation of unrest, fighting to defend their rights and regain our beloved country. In a nutshell, they are protesting for these reasons:
1. Removal of magistrates who have perpetrated a coup
2. General elections in 2017, which the government deliberately bypassed to remain in control.
3. Opening of the humanitarian channel. Thousands of Venezuelans have died due to food and medicine shortages, just to name a few. Despite of the current situation, President Nicolás Maduro has refused to accept foreign aid to alleviate the growing humanitarian crisis.
4. Freedom for all political prisoners. At least 114 political prisoners are behind bars in Venezuela, and that number is rising by the minute. The government is jailing and TORTURING anyone that opposes them.
My people have been in the streets for weeks now, facing the greatest repression we have ever seen. Young kids have been killed, there are thousands badly injured, and there is no medical supplies to heal the wounded.
As a venezuelan abroad, I have to live a "normal life", heartbroken by the fact that my friends and family are going through this hell on earth. This is why I decided to help from away, and this is why I desperately ask for your help.
Whatever you can donate is greatly appreciated. Your donation will transform into sterile dressings, antibiotics, inhalers and anything else they need to help the wounded. I will personally buy them myself, and ship them to Venezuela to help the organization that is offering medical relief during protests, and the main emergency hospitals that are attending the injured from the protests.

Hola amigos y familia,
Durante el pasado mes, Venezuela se ha sumido en una situacion de grave represion y completa anarquia. Hartos de un sistema corrupto, del abuso de poder, de la escasez en alimentos y medicinas, los venezolanos han salido a las calles, y esta vez parece no haber regreso. Hay cuatro razones puntuales de la protesta:
1. La remocion de los magistrados que han perpetrado un golpe de estado.
2. El derecho a tener elecciones generales en 2017.
3. Apertura del canal humanitario.
4. La liberacion de todos los presos politicos.
En un mes de protestas, han habido mas de 30 fallecidos y miles heridos. Los niveles de represion que se han visto en estas manifestaciones son inhumanos. Hemos visto como nuestra gente es masacrada en las calles, mientras el presidente y los medios de comunicacion se hacen la vista gorda.
Como venezolana en el exterior, no puedo quedarme de brazos cruzados pretendiendo vivir una vida "normal" mientras veo como mi pais lucha por ser libre de nuevo, por construir un mejor futuro. Es por esto que he decidido abrir este canal para recolectar fondos para medicamentos y destinados para los heridos en manifestaciones. Estos medicamentos seran adquiridos por mi, y enviados a Venezuela, para ser entregados en las manos de las personas que mas lo necesitan.
Estare posteando updates para que todos puedan hacer seguimiento del proceso, y quede constancia de que sus aportes llegaran a las personas indicadas.
