*Goal amnt changed to reflect on the actual outstanding debt left for the instalment to pay NOW (first 1500 were raised towards the FORMER instalment, pls see receipts at the end - now we need roughly 2k) Hi! My name is Ana Sofía and I am a Colombian International Student, about to end my 3rd year of my History of Art course in Goldsmiths University of London. I am set to graduate this October!
Thank you to every single person for their initial support in this campaign and helping me stay in this country to study!
However, despite overcoming being overwithdrawn from uni and having my visa potentially revoked due to tuition debt, I am still at risk of facing this issue once again when the April instalment comes. Unfortunately, my father is unreliable at the moment, as the person responsible for taking care of my tuition.
While I am currently employed and financially independent regarding my personal expenses, my father committed himself to pay my university expenses from the beginning to end of my studies. Today this is more relevant than ever, as it is greatly difficult for me to earn money to cover this matter on my own. I have been recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia, besides dealing with a set of undiagnosed symptoms that hinder my day to day productivity. This is why most of my income is destined to my domestic needs, especially regarding medication, food, other tools that can support me (besides essentials like rent and transportation). The money I am able to save is destined for my plans after graduation and emergencies.
All the donations will be periodically deposited to my university, so I can begin to pay for April's instalment little by little. This is to ensure that, even if my father is unable to produce the complete needed amount by the due date, my institution can observe that payments have been constantly going through. This is so we are not in debt for the full instalment amount by the end of April, and can avoid a second withdrawal. My biggest fear is having to face this all over again during this crucial time where I will be working non stop on my dissertation and end of year activities. I don't want my academic progress to be further affected by this. It would mean the world to me if you could contribute even the smallest amount towards this goal <3
If you've read this far, thank you so much :] <333. Even just sharing this would be of huge support, and every small contribution is welcomed and appreciated! And most importantly again THANK YOU and can't emphasize this enough to the people who donated and supported my initial push for this campaign when I was withdrawn, I literally would Not be here without you all (will attach an evidence ss of my reinstatement to uni in the pics below)!!!!
Thank you and have a great day <3
(Ironically enough here's some uni work I've done with homesickness as framework)
