Help Amanda Callahan Mom of 4 Beat Cancer
Donation protected
My sister, Amanda Callahan, is an active 38-year-old-mother of 4 beautiful girls, between the ages of 3, 6, 10, and 11 and is engaged to her adoring fiancé Eric Sickler. On August 13, 2021, Amanda received a phone call that would change all of our lives. Doctors confirmed that the pain Amanda had been experiencing in her right knee was coming from two cancerous masses that were found on her femur. After working with Moffit Cancer Center specialists for a month, a biopsy of the cancerous cells indicated that Amanda has a very rare sarcoma, so rare that she is the only person known currently to have it. Specialists do not yet have a name for the type of sarcoma or cancer that Amanda has been diagnosed with. During the month of October, Amanda had two 4-day chemotherapy treatments that only exacerbated the growth and spread of the sarcoma. Nodules were also found to have spread to each of Amanda’s lungs.
Being that Amanda is no longer able to continue working due to the increased frequency of her doctor appointments, worsening pain in her knee, and other side effects from treatment, she is in dire need of financial assistance for continued life saving treatments that are not covered by insurance. While Amanda’s doctors continue to research this rare cancer type, any monetary support that you can provide is beyond appreciated. Amanda, Eric and their daughters are forever grateful for your thought and generosity.
