Allena has been fighting appendix cancer for just over two years and is in need of financial assistance to keep up her fight. Up to this time, she's been fortunate to have excellent insurance to cover most of her expenses. Unfortunately, chemotherapy is no longer working, and her doctors have said her best course of action is a clinical trial out of Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

In order to participate in the trial, she will be required to travel from Horseheads to Connecticut weekly. In addition to the cost of gas and food, because of the trial's schedule, she will also need to stay in a hotel multiple times per month, none of which is covered by her health insurance and will add up to around $1,000 per month.
