Hi all - My name is Alysha and I'm here to try to give back to Alix in her time of need.

If you know Alix at all, you know that she gives to and cares for people in a way that few people ever do.

On Sunday, Aug 10th, while out celebrating 39 YEARS of sobriety over lunch with a friend - she tripped and fell.

She shattered her kneecap, requiring surgery and now is facing rehab and a temporary nursing home stay for 6 weeks with potential for more surgery. Alix is immunocompromised and has a number of other compounding medical issues, yet until this moment she has been living alone, driving, working and managing her life with the energy of a young adult.

Alix's beloved German Sheperd, Moma, will need to boarded for up to several weeks. Moma has supported Alix through really difficult times - including the loss of her son. I would like to keep them together and keep Moma cared for while Alix heals.

As you can also imagine, a nursing home means she cannot work, so she will need help with basic bills like utilities, phone, rent etc.
