Help Alison Conquer Cancer Again!

Hi, I'm Judah and I set up this campaign for my mom. For most of my life, it's just been me and her. She was a single mom for most of my childhood, and we are still very close. I was 16 when I first saw my mom get sick with cancer. She was only 36 when she got diagnosed with cervical cancer. My mom is a warrior. She was 100% committed to her healing, and she beat it a year and a half later, with the combination of conventional medical treatments and a year of natural and holistic healing. She had chemo, external beam radiation, and internal radiation (brachytherapy) with no surgery. I know a big reason she healed was all she did for herself. I saw what she did on a daily basis. She really empowered herself. She radically changed her diet and lifestyle, and she worked with mind-body practices. She also had very strong faith that she would heal. She still has strong faith!

Now it's 12 years later, and unfortunately my mom was just diagnosed in November 2022 with recurrent cancer of the same type. The profile picture for this campaign is her at the beach on the central coast of California, just days before getting diagnosed again. It's her in her happy place. The doctors told her she can't have any more radiation, and they can't surgically remove the tumor. They also told her that chemo and immunotherapy are palliative only, and will not cure the cancer. This means my mom needs to find other ways to heal. She already has so much knowledge and experience with natural healing from her previous experience with cancer, which will help her in seeking out the best holistic and integrative therapies she can find. In 2018 she also became certified as an integrative nutrition health coach, and was coaching cancer patients and survivors. It's her mission to continue to be of service as a coach, to other women like herself. I know my mom can and will heal again, and fulfill her mission. My mom is a big nature lover. She loves hiking and the beach, and taking landscape photos. She isn't even 50 yet. She has a lot more living left to do. I would love to see her healthy enough to be out doing what she loves. She also is living to see her grandchildren one day. We need her here!

My mom is a caring, empathetic and compassionate person. She has been working for non-profit organizations that support children and adults with disabilities, for the past 20 years. She's very passionate about what she does, and cares deeply for others. We both moved to the Bay Area from North Carolina in 2014. Since she's been in Marin County, she's helped so many in her community. She's cared for the elderly, children and adults with disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and others. She goes above and beyond for her clients, always doing more than what's expected. She's given so much of herself in her career and has never been into it for the money. I feel she's definitely earned some good karma. We all know the financial burden of a diagnosis like cancer. My mom is single and lives alone. Unfortunately, she doesn't have much money, and there isn't much in our family. We are so grateful to anyone who will help her heal.

She will be using the money to go to a natural healing retreat that focuses on nutrition and other natural and alternative treatments. She's looking into different options, but she hasn't decided yet on the best place for her. She also needs money for lots of organic food, quality supplements, money to pay for practitioners in nutrition, Oriental medicine, transpersonal psychology, massage and compassionate touch, emotional healing, and for other healers and helpers. She will also use the funds for general living expenses. *She is still following up with her medical doctors in palliative care with regular testing, etc. I will be posting updates.

Below are pictures of me and my mom. The third picture is her at 37 years old, healing cancer the first time. Then a couple from recent years when she was in better health. And a picture of her with one of her clients in Marin.

Let's make 2023 a year of healing for my amazing Mom!!
