Hi my name is Rachael and I'm raising funds for my sister and her boyfriend to help cover travel, board, and food expenses during Alek's surgery and recovery in Rochester. My nephew Alek developed CP during labor and has been such a hard fighter through weekly PT and OT appointments. A few months ago Alek started having seizures and after a unexpected accident he had to have a MRI which revealed a growing tumor. My sister has already had to leave her job to help with Alek's needs as well as travel to Rochester regularly for his appointments. Insurance will cover surgery but not the loss of wages as well as other expenses that will be accumulated during his stay at the hospital. Alek is expected to have surgery February 7th to have the tumor removed so it can be sent out for biopsy. He will then stay in the hospital for recovery for about a week and then sent home for further recovery. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated, thank you.
