Help Give Aaron Jensen More Time with His Family

Our dear friend Aaron Jensen is courageously battling stage 4 colorectal cancer. Despite daily pain and ongoing chemotherapy, Aaron continues to work full-time to cover his mortgage and medical bills. A devoted husband, father, and grandpa, Aaron has been a loyal employee at ProSteel Security Products for the past 29 years, manufacturing safes and security products. Our goal is to raise $212,000 to pay off the Jensen family’s mortgage, allowing Aaron to work less, rest more, and spend precious time with the people he loves most.

Aaron was first diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2021. At just 44, he made the life-altering decision to undergo major surgery to remove his rectum and part of his colon and live with a permanent ostomy bag, hoping to buy more time with his family. In true Aaron fashion, he faced this challenge with optimism and strength, openly sharing his journey as an ostomy athlete to inspire others facing similar challenges.

A passionate runner for the past decade, Aaron has achieved remarkable feats. Just nine months after his surgery, we had the privilege of running across the Grand Canyon together. Only eight days later, Aaron completed the Bryce Canyon 100-mile trail race, finishing 4th overall in just under 24 hours. His grit, positivity, and kindness have touched countless lives in the running community and beyond.

Sadly, Aaron’s cancer returned in late 2024. Since then, he has continued chemotherapy every other week while battling constant pain and fatigue. Four months into treatment, he entered the Buffalo Run 25k on Antelope Island. Nearing the final mile, Aaron said, “My legs are cramping." I asked if he needed electrolytes, to which he replied with a smile, “No, just less chemo!” Determined as ever, he ran to the finish line without walking. Running has become much harder for him now, but his spirit remains unbreakable.

Through it all, Aaron continues to be a loving husband to Jennie, his wife of 29 years, a proud father of four, and a doting grandpa of two. When asked recently what he wanted most, Aaron’s answer was simple: “More time with my family.”

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward paying off the Jensen family’s home allowing them time to create lasting memories as a family. Your generosity will lighten this incredible family’s financial burdens, bringing peace and comfort to their hearts during such a difficult journey.
