Help A WW2 Veteran Rebuild
Donation protected
Robert Martin is a WW2 US Army veteran that served our country on the front lines in Germany. Mr. Martin and his wife of 46 years Anecita lost their home to a fire in March of 2020. The pipes in their home burst due to the big Houston freeze in February. They couldn’t find anyone to help them make the necessary repairs so a friend offered to help. Somehow a fire was sparked that became a blaze and destroyed the Martin’s home. This was the third time they’d lost their home, the first two were to floods. Mrs. Martin was also battling liver cancer for the second time during all of this. They lived in a hotel for six months, separated from their precious dogs who had to stay at a local kennel.
At 97 years young this Hero and his 82 year old wife are having to begin their life again. I am asking for assistance on their behalf as the majority of the payout from their homeowners insurance went to payoff the reverse mortgage they had on the house and to purchase their new home. We have slowly begun making their house into a home through charitable donations by many giving people in the community but they are still in need of assistance. Please consider donating if you are able.
