Help a Venezuelan Family Stay in Our Community

We have had the joy of living next to a wonderful Venezuelan family—a dad, mom, and their three daughters (14, 13, and 8)—for the past two years. They are hardworking, caring, and deeply valued members of our community.
Unfortunately, their rent has been raised beyond what they can manage, and they are now being forced to leave their home. Our goal is to help them move into another rental nearby so that we, along with our church community at Resurrection in the City, can continue to support and care for them.
We have identified a hopeful option: a home on Steele Street, right next to the school their children attend. The owner has generously reduced the rent and cut the security deposit in half to help make this possible.
To secure this home, we need to raise the following before December 31st:
- $1,000 for the security deposit
- $2,300 for the first month’s rent
- $500 Washer/Dryer
- $500 Triple Bunkbeds, as all three girls will be in one room.
100% of all donations will go directly to the rental company.
If you would like to continue supporting the family—whether through monthly assistance, groceries, clothing, or household items—please reach out to Resurrection in the City directly.
Thank you, sincerely, for your generosity and compassion as we care for our neighbors during this difficult time.
