Hi

My name is Mariana, I'm un the UK and I'm fundraising for the AlGhandour family in North Gaza.

This family has 4 people: Riad, the dad of only 29 years. Wedad Hassan, the mum, only 27 years old and 2 lovely children, Aysal who is 6 years old and Fahmi who is 4.

Wedad and Riad used to have a humble but beautiful life. Riad had a job, they had a home until the war took it all away.

They have been displaced many times, and had to sleep in the street. They have faced hunger, fear, displacement and bereavement. Wedad has lost her father and brother to the conflict already and wants nothing more than to protect her children.

Wedad found herself pregnant last year, a little ray of hope in the suffering, but she lost the baby due to the stress and hardship she had to endure.

The north of Gaza has been suffering intensely under constant bombing and -against all odds- this family has survived thanks to the support of kind people across the world, so they humbly asks us to keep helping, so they can survive this horror, feed their children and hopefully make it out alive.

Sadly all of the items above come with a heavy price tag in Gaza, but these families rely on us to help them while aid is being blocked and humanitarian organisations are stopped from doing their job.
