We are reopening this fundraiser for the daughter of my Shaykh in Mauritania, as her medical journey is not yet complete and the situation has become urgent once again.

His daughter needs to travel back to Morocco by the end of February to continue and complete her treatment. The funds raised previously helped initial treatment, but they were not sufficient to cover the full course of treatment. And her condition has not fully resolved.

My Shaykh is someone who has spent his entire life teaching Qur’an and sacred knowledge with sincerity and humility, asking nothing from people. He lives simply, with no financial safety net. And this is not a family that ever seeks help unless absolutely necessary.

What’s happening now?

Doctors have made it clear that further treatment and follow-up in Morocco is essential. Delaying this could put her long-term health at serious risk. The upcoming trip involves medical appointments, continued testing, treatment, medication, accommodation, and travel costs. All of which are far beyond the family’s means.
