Help the Ward Family Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

My name is Molly, and I am the daughter of Peg and Paul who recently was impacted by Hurricane Helene.

On Thursday, September 26th, Hurricane Helene caused a major storm surge in my hometown of Port Richey, FL. The storm submerged my parents' home under 4.5ft of water for an extended period. My parents purchased this home almost 40 years ago and raised me and my two older brothers there. We were fortunate to have never moved and always had this home to return to.

After the waters receded, it was evident that a lot of damage had been done and it would take a while to repair. We had to discard all of their furniture, including 2 beds, 3 dressers, a desk, a couch, a variety of chairs, and bookshelves, along with all of their appliances. We have started tearing down the drywall and ripping up the flooring for repairs.

This home holds so many memories and much of that was lost in one night. My parents have always been a light in the community and have always shown love for others and it would mean a lot to be able to share that back. We are uncertain about what insurance or hurricane relief will look like, and we are trying to rebuild their home so they can live in it safely. Any amount helps and will go towards plumbing, electrical, flooring, and wall repairs. It will also assist in obtaining appliances and furniture. Thank you for your donation!
