Help a First Generation Master's Student get through school

My name is Ashley Loera. I am a First Generation Mexican-American and a First Generation Master's student. I am a music producer, composer, singer and songwriter, and I go by the artist alias Era Lo. I am deeply humbled and blessed to be getting my Master's Degree in Sound Design at the University of Edinburgh, UK. My biggest hope is to make music that leaves a lasting and positive impact, while working on film soundtracks, and sound installations that reflect the healing process from Trauma. I am a Humanitarian at heart and I have founded my own annual Suicide Prevention Benefit called Lifeline Virtual Music Festival.

I am now in a financial position where I need your help! Please consider donating just a few dollars. Anything helps and is deeply appreciated!

As an international student, I have accrued federal student loan debt totaling $78,000 on top of my Car Loan debt (car is located in US with family) of $18,000. I have been applying for work in the United Kingdom, however due to my VISA restrictions, I have yet to receive work opportunity, which means, I currently have no form of income.

The reason for this fundraiser is to help me raise funds for living expenses. I no longer have student aid funding, and I am in a financial position where I need to ask for help. I have no source of income and I am in need of support from my community.

I have to move out of my accommodation at the end of August and I do not have the funds or income to move out (deposit & first month's rent). I am also in the position where I need help paying off my car loan, as it is in the process of being repossessed, and I do not have the income to pay this car loan, as I am a full-time student. I have tried selling it since I moved to the UK - and have not been able to sell it, as of yet. I am concerned about repossession because this will negatively impact my credit, and negatively impact my ability to apply for future loans, funding and credit cards.

These funds will help me get through school, get out of immediate debt, and find a new place to live. These funds will help me pay for current living expenses (food, transportation, necessities).

I have created this fundraiser as a call for support from my online community. I am raising $25,000 for living expenses while I complete my education and find a new place to live, and to pay off my car loan and avoid repossession.
