Hello my name is John Connerty, I am a co founder and trustee of a registered charitable organisation called the Walking With Giants Foundation based in Liverpool England.

The foundation helps families and individuals affected by Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism (MPD) here in the UK and around the world.

I am seeking help to assist one of the families we have been trying to help who has a child affected by Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism in Gaza.

Salma age 20 and her family are from Rafah.

Salma has a rare life threatening condition called MPD II (Microcephalic Primordial Dwarfism Type II).

She is very small for her age and lives in a world that is not made for her physically and environmentally.

Like the vast majority of Palestinians in Gaza, Salma and her beautiful and peace loving family do not have the practical and financial means to leave the Gaza Strip safely.

We would like to have help them leave Gaza but all routes out of Gaza have been blocked. They would love to leave Gaza, but can't so they desperately want to be able to survive with some dignity. Hence this campaign.

After living a happy life together, they were forced to leave their village in Rafah because of the war, their home and farm the owned was destroyed along with Rafah itself.

The farm was the only source of income for Mohamed, her father and her family.

Now, they live in a primitive tent made of wood and palm fronds in a displacement camp with limited access to food, water and no access to healthcare.

Salma requires special care due to her condition. Her parents and her sisters, Aya and Zeina need support to rebuild their lives and home after losing all sources of income.

The Walking with Giants have been trying to help support the family by sending them money periodically to buy food, water and medical supplies for Salma herself but due to limited humanitarian aid getting through, food and water is hard to come by and what is available is costing the family more everyday due to corrupt officials and black market racketeers.

Our funds are limited due to helping other families here in the UK and around the world so please please help, every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in the life of this family.

All monies donated will be transferred to Salma's father via Palpay via the Walking with Giants Foundations bank account.
