Helen Machell's Funeral
Don protégé
There’s some things in life you never want to ask and never believe will happen.
On 23rd of July at 11:35pm the sky gained the brightest, most beautiful star but we sadly lost our beautiful, courageous Helen. Those who knew Helen would know the warrior she was, kind hearted, funny and who lived and breathed for her family Lee, Lilei and Maisei and her dog Misty.
Helen didn’t just fight cancer, she battled it and fought with every fibre of her being. Helen wasn’t a person who lived a lavish lifestyle and she and Lee worked hard to provide for their family. Sadly working hard doesn’t always equate to financial reward. Budgeting for a funeral for a 34 year old is not something that (thankfully) most people will ever have to do. Sadly this is what faces Lee.
We as family and friends are hoping to lessen this burden by clubbing together to give Helen the send off she deserves. If you can support in any way, be it loose change or simply a share, please do. It’s not a question anyone ever wants to ask and despite knowing the facts, nobody ever truly believed this day would come.
Much love from Helen’s close and extended family and friends xx
