Heaven gained the biggest Eagles fan

24+ years ago, my family’s life was blessed with a bright light in human form: Johnnie. My family is very picky about who we let into our lives, but Johnnie had no problem fitting in with us. You could easily pick out wherever he was just by hearing his one of a kind laugh. He was the first one to stand up to defend us if ever a problem arose. If you were ever sad about something, he would swoop you into his arms and hug you so tightly. Johnnie was such a big teddy bear. But as fate would have it, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2018. Our whole world got flipped upside down. Even trying to fight the pain he was feeling, we still were able to celebrate his 50th birthday in Vegas. Johnnie has always been a fighter. He has always been strong for his family, even for those whom weren’t blood. But he no longer has to fight, and heaven has gained the biggest Eagles fan.
