Andy Hart, Dartmouth Class of ‘87, Sig Ep Brother and Track and Field Teammate needs our help.
 Andy has fallen on hard times and his Dartmouth Sig Ep and Track and Field family are committed to helping our brother and family member. Andy needs help with his housing, living and medical expenses until he can get back on his feet and find suitable employment in the IT and Legal fields.
Andy was always there as a brother and teammate with a kind word of support and encouragement. It’s now time for us to return the favor.
I had the good fortune of visiting Andy recently and was quickly warmed by his radiant smile and positive outlook.
Andy’s medical problems have been going on for a few years now but are rooted in a severe case of sleep apnea which slowed his metabolism to a crawl. A few years ago as he was first getting treatment for the sleep apnea, Andy suffered injuries in an automobile accident where he was entrapped in the vehicle. The serious injuries suffered in that accident made it impossible for Andy to work out at the same time that his sleep apnea caused his metabolism to slow—a perfect storm for weight gain.
He is now working closely with his doctors to get his weight back under control and to work on other issues that are an outgrowth of the weight gain and sleep apnea.
In addition to helping with Andy’s medical bills and weight loss program, the money we raise will help Andy with his living expenses for a few months until he is healthy enough to work again.
Any and all donations to help Andy get his life back on track will be most gratefully accepted. Thank you to each and everyone of you in advance for your generosity.
